SYLT. ABOUT SEABED AND TIDELAND

on our last day in sylt we went on a walk through the tideland, called watt. it was a family-friendly guided tour where we had the possibility to learn about marine creatures and their living space, the wadden sea. but before we got started we were wadden baptized and went by names like periwinkle, pacific oyster or lugworm. 

 
as the water withdrew and the tide was going out we set foot on theseafloor. at the lowest ebb we began to search for nature's hidden treasures. the youngest explorers of our group proved themselves as the most courageous. they were digging after watt worms, caught little crabs and opened mussels with their bare hands.
