recently tim barber photographed new york creatives including chloe sevigny, rita ackermann, rachel comey and many more in new york. by flicking through his website we found countless intimate pictures full of energy. tim also run an online gallery called tiny vices where visitors are encouraged to submit their photoworks and artwork. so he is a photographer, curator, publisher and designer. any questions?!

LOIN ... BY RACHID OURAMDANE

tqw is constructed along the lines of touching and being touched this week. we experienced scores#1:touché at first hand. it's an artistic-theoretical parcours at the threshold of touching in dance and performance. 
shifting from slow motion into electrifying movements choreographer rachid ouramdane engendered a tension that fulfilled the room. his piece loin ... was built around themes dealing with identity, perception, time and the foreign. an autobiographical production with documentary aspects, visual installations and an interplay of silence and rhytmical beats, where the observer became part of the journey. we' ve got the impression that in every motion lay expression and a sense of disunity. it felt real and honest. 
later on at the afterparty (with an outstanding buffet, by the way!) people had the chance to swap ideas and exchange opinions. and so did rachid ouramdane. he seemed to really care about other people's view. an enjoyable evening with nice atmosphere! We were happy to witness it! touché!

PAPER GIRL

paper girl's coming into town and they've got the drive. in the style of american paperboys they cycle through the streets of vienna distributing rolled art pieces to people passing by. this project has already taken place a several times and went around the globe. 26.-28.5.2010 it's reaching vienna. mark the date. everyone can participate and so do we. find out more about it here. art gets in touch with you!

there are the element eden advocates. a  troupe of talented and passionated girls with visions and social awareness. there is a collection called "conscious by nature".  its main focus lies in producing with sustainable materials. and the actual spring/summer collection is inspired by awakenings and new beginnings. it plays with rock chic attitude and the eighties and nineties.

everything looks and sounds so soulful. element eden makes out a perfect mix of nature, art, fashion and culture and they always manage to create something with substance and depth.

we took sandra freji to our huge heart of photography. you may know her work from dazed & confused, lula or another magazine. she is known for her romantic and feminine pictures that are colored by subtle sensuality. she jiggles the girl into the center – you think you know all of them personally. now it´s time to get to know sandra a little bit more.

what´s your attraction about capturing movement?

I think its about a state of mind, a floating sensuality, something that

captures what has happened and what is about to come yet still is very

persuasive in its own right as a moment.

MARJORY SMARTH BENEFIT PARTY

marjory smarth is suffering from cancer. she is an urban dance icon.  she is one of the biggest pathfinders of house dance. she was like a fount of inspiration and energy on last years workshops for us. not just in dancing also as a person. the raw footwork foundation supports marjory on her battle against cancer with a benefit party.
